Jungheinrich Stays in the Flow with Cargoclix SLOT

• Intralogistics provider introduces cloud-based SLOT software at the location Moosburg.
• With the help of the tool, more than 400 trucks per month are dispatched without waiting time at goods receipt.

Freiburg i.Br., 11.9.2019) The Hamburg-based intralogistics provider Jungheinrich recently introduced the cloud-based “SLOT” system from Cargoclix at its location in Moosburg. With the help of the electronic time schedules, the company optimizes the goods receipt of the Upper Bavarian plant.

“In order to avoid a bottleneck in incoming goods with regard to available capacities, delivering trucks will arrive at the goods receipt according to the schedule in the future. The scheduling is to be carried out with the help of the SLOT booking system from Cargoclix,” reports Christian Marten. The engineer is responsible for logistics planning at the location. The Cargoclix IT system is intended to prevent trucks destined for unloading from accumulating on the plant premises. “Waiting trucks impede the flow of traffic in the location, which is controlled by a one-way street system,” stresses Marten. In Moosburg, Jungheinrich produces electric counterbalanced trucks and forklifts with combustion engines, among other things.

Currently, more than 400 trucks per month from the logistics service provider DHL are controlled via SLOT at goods receipt. This corresponds to about half of the total volume. The aim of the intralogistics provider is for all logistics service providers to use the tool for incoming goods so that the unloading process runs smoothly and truck drivers do not have to wait or have to wait only a very short time before they can be dispatched.
