sia Abrasives Polska launched SLOT at its Lozienica and Pomorska sites in June. With the web-based time slot management system, resources at the ramp can be planned better and processes can be designed quickly and flexibly.
Approximately 15 to 20 trucks arrive daily at the company’s four incoming goods ramps. The carriers can book their desired delivery time via Internet from 14 days in advance and up to 12 hours of delivery. The fee of 50 cents is below average.
