Wittenberg Bakery new member of the SLOT family

The bakery in Wittenberg recently opted for SLOT from Cargoclix for its timeslot management system. In Lutherstadt Wittenberg, a total of six ramps at goods receipt and goods issue are controlled via the tool. Up to 30 trucks are loaded or unloaded there every day. The timeslots must be booked at least one day before the desired date. The slot can be reserved up to a week in advance.

Wittenberger Bäckerei GmbH was founded at the beginning of 2017 to ensure the operation of a completely newly built large-scale bakery in Piesteritz. Operation started in 2018. Up to eight lines – each 300 metres long – are used in the plant to produce toasties, lye pastries and bread, partly fresh, partly deep-frozen, as a service for Lieken AG (well-known brands Golden Toast, Lieken Urkorn). As soon as the bakery reaches its full capacity, around 122,000 tons of products are produced each year.

And the Wittenberger Bäckerei GmbH wants to grow further. More than 400 employees will be employed if the maximum final expansion stage is reached. Then a production of up to 160,000 tons of bread per year could be expected.
