Dr. Schumacher GmbH Optimizes Further Ramps with SLOT

Dr. Schumacher, a specialist in the production of disinfectants, now also relies on the benefits of the SLOT time window management system from Cargoclix at its site in Boleslawiec, Poland. The company had already introduced the cloud-based solution at its headquarters in Malsfeld in northern Hesse last year. Around 20 trucks are now processed there on site in the incoming and outgoing goods departments without any congestion, and the company bears the costs of 50 cents per time slot booking itself. Anyone wishing to book an appointment in advance does not have to adhere to any time limits, as bookings can be made at any time. The deadline for booking appointments, however, is 4 p.m. the day before.

Dr. Schumacher is a family-owned company from northern Hesse that has set its sights on global growth. The group currently employs around 1,850 people at three production sites in Germany, Poland and Turkey. Each year, the company produces around 21,000 metric tons of disinfectants for skin and hands, medical devices and surfaces of all kinds, among other things, as well as around 500 million packaging units of moist wipes for various purposes. The company currently exports its products to 70 countries around the world.
