STIHL Sales Headquarters Opts for Time Slot Management System SLOT

The STIHL sales headquarters in Dieburg has equipped its site with the cloud-based time slot management system SLOT from Cargoclix. The solution helps with the daily congestion-free handling of around ten trucks in incoming and outgoing goods. Anyone who wants to book a time slot has the opportunity to do so with a lead time of 30 days. But reservations at short notice are also possible – until 4.30 p.m. the day before the desired date. Booking a time slot costs 50 cents. The company bears the costs itself and does not pass them on to the logistics service providers. SLOT is already in use at several STIHL locations.

At the STIHL sales headquarters, around 300 employees take care of the marketing of STIHL products. The Dieburg logistics centre supplies specialist dealers with chainsaws, tools, accessories and spare parts. Stihl is a Swabian family-owned company with headquarters in Waiblingen-Neustadt and is active in more than 160 countries. It develops, manufactures and sells engine-powered equipment for forestry, gardening, landscaping and the construction industry. The company was founded in 1926 and has been the world’s leading manufacturer of chainsaws since 1971.
