Spedition Bayer und Sohn Opts for SLOT
Bayer und Sohn, a freight forwarder based in Trier, Germany, has introduced the cloud-based time slot management system SLOT from Cargoclix. It uses it to handle around ten trucks a day in incoming and outgoing goods without any congestion. A booking costs 50 cents. The costs are borne by the logistics service providers. The booking period for time slots begins seven days in advance and ends at 2 p.m. the day before.
The family business Bayer und Sohn was founded in 1946 by Hans Bayer and offers logistics services such as transport, warehouse logistics, customs clearance and fulfillment from a single source. Around 75 people are employed here.
