LogiMAT 2020: Cargoclix Expands Service

Cargoclix at LogiMAT 2020: Hall 6, Booth C71 

(Freiburg i.Br., 3.12.2019) The software specialist Cargoclix presents at the intralogistics fair LogiMAT 2020 in Stuttgart the further developed version of its cloud based timeslot management system SLOT.  From 10th to 12th of March, the company will be showing visitors at its stand C71 in Hall 6 how the processes at the ramp can be consistently improved and how trucks can be handled without congestion. An important contribution to this is made by optimised personnel deployment planning, which can be effectively controlled by recording daily capacities. In this way, personnel capacities can be brought in line with the time slot bookings and efficient processes at the ramp can be ensured. 

With a cost of 50 cents per booking, SLOT is still one of the most cost-effective timeslot management systems used by logistics service providers, industry and commerce across all sectors. “In 2019 alone, we were able to win a three-digit  number of new customers and equip many additional locations at existing customers with SLOT. As a result, our circle of users has now grown to more than 65,000 members,” emphasizes Prof. Dr. Victor Meier, consulting partner of Cargoclix. “SLOT is dynamic, it is being continuously optimized and adapted to user needs”, Meier makes clear. Just recently, for example, the system’s user interface was also made available in Czech – the Czech Republic is considered one of the most important logistics locations in Europe. 

Cargoclix has attracted attention in recent months with a new additional module that generates the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) of a vehicle using telematics data. With this function, ramp operators can now see whether a truck arrives at its destination earlier or later than planned and adjust the handling processes if necessary. Cargoclix works together with the software specialists of PTV Group, TIMOCOM and Agheera. Every ten minutes, the tool retrieves the GPS location data of a truck and calculates the remaining driving time in the route planner. For data protection reasons, however, the position of the truck is not saved, but deleted immediately after the ETA calculation.

Cargoclix also has recently fundamentally revised logistics platform TENDER, which is one of the leading international tendering platforms for transport and logistics contracts, in its Stuttgart exhibition baggage. The cloud-based software can be used to process worldwide tenders for contracts for transport by road, rail, air freight, sea and inland waterway, courier-express parcel services and logistics services. “Our users benefit, above all, from the easy, intuitive operability, so that even extensive tenders can be carried out with little time expenditure,” Prof. Dr. Victor Meier points out.
