WHAT IS ETA?

ETA displays per booking the estimated time of arrival of the truck. The calculation of ETA considers the current position of the truck, its distance to the destination, the current traffic situation and the truck type. In this way you get a very accurate ETA. ETA can be used either on the driver’s smartphone with the Cargoclix ETA App, or through a direct connection to the trucks’ telematics.

When the site employees know the estimated time of arrival of the truck in advance, they can adjust their work to it. This allows it to bring forward already arrived trucks, when a scheduled truck is delayed. Idle times can be avoided and ideally also delayed trucks can be loaded or unloaded without long waiting times.

HOW DOES ETA WORK IN GENERAL?

You can display the arrival time of your truck according to the PTV route planner via the Cargoclix ETA App in the time window. The location operator can be informed directly about a delay or an early arrival of your truck.

Calculation of the ETA via the ETA App

First step: The driver installs the Cargoclix ETA App, which he can download in the Play Store or the App Store.

How can you calculate the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) using the ETA App?

Option 1 – Enter your Cargoclix booking ID and PIN in the ETA app on your smartphone.

Option 2 – If the driver has installed the Cargoclix ETA App, he can activate the ETA calculation for this tour with a link or QR code from the time slot booking. The link and the QR code are stored in the ETA-Info PDF document in each booking.

Option 3 – 1: The driver enters his mobile number in the format +49… in the Cargoclix ETA App in the area Activate Mobile Tours ⇒ 2. The dispatcher enters the mobile number of the driver in the format +49… ⇒ 3. The tour appears in the Cargoclix ETA App and the driver only has to click on it to start the ETA calculation.

Costs for the booking company:

ETA calculation per tour: 0,50 Euro

By using the service, the booking company declares that it will bear the above costs. These are listed in the monthly invoice of Cargoclix.

Calculation of the ETA via the telematics data of the truck with Agheera

You can have the GPS data transmitted directly via the telematics system of your vehicle for ETA calculation. You can specify in the time slot booking whether the telematics data of the vehicle is to be used for calculating the ETA. The ETA is now calculated using the truck’s telematics GPS data on the basis of the truck number plate.

ETA calculation per tour: 0,50 Euro
Unique boarding of the truck fleet of a forwarding agency: 300,00 Euro
Transmission of GPS data per tour via Agheera: 0,50 Euro

Calculation of the ETA via the telematics data of the truck with TIMOCOM

You can calculate the ETA via your telematics system with the help of our partner TIMOCOM. Please follow the following steps:

Step 1: Book a time slot, enter the desired truck license plate, click on Activate ETA and select TIMOCOM from the dropdown.

Step 2: To link Cargoclix ETA with your TIMOCOM account, click on “Onboard your devices”.

Step 3: In TIMOCOM, select the truck license plate and the period for which you want to activate the GPS data of the respective truck.

Tip: If you release the truck license plate for a longer period, you only need to carry out steps 2. and 4. once for this period (e.g. for 1 year).
